National Plastic Pollution Reduction Campaign – A Step Towards a Cleaner Tomorrow
Our institution actively participated in the National Plastic Pollution Reduction Campaign, aligning with the theme of World Environment Day 2025. Swamiji, along with staff and students, led the initiative to raise awareness about the dangers of plastic pollution. Clean-up drives was organized to spread the message of reducing, reusing, and recycling plastics.
Dravya Guna Visit to Uttari Durga
Dr. Nycy B S, Assistant Professor, Department of Dravya Guna, led an insightful field visit to Uttari Durga with students, focusing on the identification and study of medicinal plants in their natural habitat.
The field visit was intended for in situ identification, preservation and careful drug collection techniques. Some of the drugs collected are listed below

2. Shirisha bark
3. Dravanti seeds
4. Strikutaja leaves,
5. Bhakuchi seeds
6. Arka patra
7. Arjuna bark
8. Others
Through her expertise, students were introduced to various dravyas growing in the wild, their morphological features, medicinal properties, and classical references.
The visit served as a valuable practical learning experience, deepening the students’ understanding of Ayurvedic botany and fostering a stronger connection with nature.
