Bengaluru, 11 May 2025 — In a momentous celebration of visionary leadership and international collaboration, the Sri Paripoorna Sanathana International Wellness Centre was officially inaugurated on 11 May 2025, aligning with the 14th anniversary of the Sri Paripoorna Sanathana Charitable Trust® (SPSCT). The event brought together eminent dignitaries, scholars, and healthcare leaders from across the globe to reaffirm the Trust’s founding mission: integrating time-honored traditions with modern science to provide inclusive, accessible, and evidence-based holistic healthcare and education. The inauguration of the state-of-the-art hospital building was marked by the presence of several distinguished guests.
A Vision Rooted in Service and Compassion
As expressed by the Trust’s Chief Patron and Trustees, Sri Paripoorna Sanathana Charitable Trust®, founded in 2012, was established with a profound philanthropic vision—to offer free services in shelter, education, and healthcare to the elderly, differently-abled, and mentally challenged. Guided by this mission, the Trust has become a beacon of holistic development, rooted in sustainable growth, spiritual well-being, and traditional healthcare systems.
Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. A.V. Srinivasan, Founder-Chairman of SPSCT, the Trust has translated this vision into impactful action: from distributing school supplies and scholarships to organizing medical camps, promoting women’s empowerment, and advancing water access initiatives in rural Karnataka and beyond.
Innovation, Research, and International Collaboration
The event spotlighted the Trust’s advances in scientific innovation, including patented herbal medicines and research aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Highlights included presentations on integrative medicine and liver cancer by Dr. Sangram (ICMR, New Delhi) and Dr. Srinivas B (SPSAMCH & RC). Scholars Dr. Sunil Mishra and Dr. Krishna Dev Srivastav from Banaras Hindu University announced a proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for collaborative cancer research.
The Trust’s evidence-based approach reflects a broader global movement—endorsed at the WHO’s 2023 Global Summit on Traditional Medicine—that positions validated traditional therapies as vital complements to modern medical systems.
Strengthening AYUSH Through Global Trade and Education
As AYUSH Commissioner of the Asian Arab Chamber of Commerce and the India-GCC Trade Council, Prof. Dr. Srinivasan led a pivotal session on enhancing international trade and investment in AYUSH. Discussions focused on frameworks for research, distribution, and clinical adoption of integrative medicine between India and Arab nations.
A landmark announcement was made: the establishment of the International Vanguard Virtual University, Bengaluru—accredited by Kennedy University, Florida, USA. This institution will offer a full academic portfolio from certificates to PhDs in integrative medical sciences. With advanced tools such as AI, robotic surgery, and clinical technologies, the university aims to unite ancient knowledge with futuristic healthcare training for global leadership.
Integrative Healthcare: A National and Global Imperative
Addressing India’s healthcare landscape, Prof. Dr. Srinivasan emphasized the need for synergy between allopathic and traditional medicine, particularly in light of the country’s high out-of-pocket healthcare costs (62.6%). He underscored the importance of rigorous scientific validation of traditional treatments to enhance global trust and applicability.
On the education front, he cautioned against excessive reliance on digital platforms and advocated for foundational reforms in teacher training, value-based learning, and personalized instruction. Citing UNESCO’s 2023 report on learning disparities, he highlighted the Trust’s educational model, which seeks to balance traditional wisdom with modern pedagogy.
A Global Vision for Unity, Wellness, and Humanity
Looking ahead, the Trust aims to scale its integrated healthcare model globally through joint research, academic exchange, herbal product trade, and the establishment of Ayurvedic wellness clinics abroad. These initiatives align with India’s growing number of bilateral AYUSH agreements and international interest in natural and preventive healthcare.
In a stirring closing address, Prof. Dr. Srinivasan declared:
“We do not merely serve; we transform. From humble villages to global platforms, we carry the torch of holistic, compassionate service—guided by ancient wisdom and empowered by modern tools. May this Centre stand not only as a sanctuary of healing but as a symbol of unity, health, and humanity.”
With the backing of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, the Ministries of AYUSH and Home Affairs, and international partners, Sri Paripoorna Sanathana Charitable Trust® is poised to lead a global renaissance in integrative health, innovation, and compassion.
International Participation and Strategic Alliances
The inauguration was graced by an esteemed international delegation. Chief Guests included Mr. Ivanov Alexey Alexandrovich, Chief Patron of the Trust from Russia, and Mr. Thabang Linus Kholumo, High Commissioner of the Kingdom of Lesotho to South Africa. Guests of Honour included Dr. Waiel SH Awwad, Secretary General of the Indian Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IACCIA), and Dr. Asif Iqbal, Knowledge Partner of the Centre and President of the Indian Economic Trade Organization (IETO). Mr. Murthada MJ Ibrahim from Oman also joined in a show of diplomatic unity.
These dignitaries collectively inaugurated the 13,000 sq ft facility and engaged in discussions on the future of global healthcare, spiritual well-being, and sustainable development.
